The Chakrabhand Posayakrit Foundation was established on
April 24th , 2003, with the main objectives of upholding
the arts and Buddhism, as well with the aim of creating
works of art in many fields.
The Foundation is located at 49/1 Sukhumvit 63 Road
(Ekamai), Khlongton Nua, Vadhana District, Bangkok
10110. This is both the office and the workshop.
Major works in care of the Foundation:
Buddhist art
1. The on-going project of mural painting in the
ordination hall of Wat Trithosathep Voravihara, started
in March 1990.
2. The on-going project of mural painting in the
ordination hall of Wat Khao Sukim, Chanthaburi, started
in 2004. Designs and sketches are completed at the
Foundation before being sent to staff artists who
complete the mural painting on site.
Traditional art and national
heritage
1. The conservation and restoration of
significant works of art, in conjunction with the
government sector, especially the Department of Fine
Arts and the National Museum:
1.1 The repainting of the Ramakien murals at the
Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Rooms 159-160, in 1972
1.2 Restoration of the Inao dioramas in the
decorations for the cremation of Queen Somanas
Vadhanavadi, wife of King Mongkut, and restoration of
the episode of Hanuman Snapping the Neck of Elephant
Erawan at the Battle of Brahmastra from the Ramakien
dioramas, on the occasion of the bicentennial
celebration of the Ratanakosin period in 1981-1982, and
currently on display at the National Museum
1.3 Restoration of the Royal Puppet collection
from the early Ratanakosin Period, 1983-1986. Currently
on display at the National Museum
1.4 Restoration of the Vice-Regal Puppet
collection of 100 puppets, 1993-1997, currently on
display at the National Museum |

2.1 Design and supervision of the dioramas
depicting plays by King Rama II on the initiative of
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, namely Ramakien, Inao,
Sangthong and Maneepichai, between 1983 and 1987,
currently on display at the King Rama II Memorial Park
at Amphawa, Samut Songkram
2.2 Design and supervision of the life-size
bronze statues of Chao Ngoh and the buffalo boy from
Sangthong by King Rama II, on Princess Maha Chakri
Siridhorn’s initiative in 1991-1992, currently on
display at the King Rama II Memorial Park in Amphawa,

2.3 Design and supervision of the life-size
bronze statues of Kraithong fighting Chalawan from
Kraithong by King Rama II, on Princess Maha Chakri
